How do fillers work?
Restylane or Perlane is injected into the skin to give the skin more volume or fill in wrinkles or folds restoring a healthy appearance. When injected into the lip or nasolabial folds it can restore a more natural and youthful appearance.
Many call these fillers a face life in a syringe.
What areas can be treated?
Fine lines on the upper and lower lip fill in nicely with Restylane or Perlane. You can even give you lips volume that you may have lost over the years.
Deeper wrinkles and folds in the nasolabial area, lines at the corners of the mouth or "11's" between the brows also respond well using Restylane or Perlane.
How long does it last?
Depending on the area treated, most folds and wrinkles require one treatment. Results last up to 6 months for Restylane and 8 months for perlane.
Research now out that states after second treatment can last as long as 14 months.
